This is a letter that an anonymous pilot has posted on the internet. I can assure you that this is completely real. I know what these letters look like.

I want everyone to understand exactly what the FAA has admitted.

A First Class Medical Certificate is required for all airline pilots throughout the world. If you are no longer healthy enough to pass the physical, you cannot be an airline pilot.

Our review of your medical records has established that you are eligible for a first-class medical certificate.

The certificate you now hold is valid until the normal date of expiration.

You are cautioned to abide by Title 14 of the CFR’s, Section 61.53, relating to operations during medical deficiency. Because of your history of possible Vacine induced Myocarditis, Hyperlipidema, Ganglion Cyst removal Left Hand, and knee pain, operation of aircraft is prohibited at any time new symptoms of adverse changes occur in your healths status.

Use of the above reference number on future correspondence and/or reports will aid us in locating your file.

Summary
